Management Team
Eric Min, CEO
Eric Min, a co-founder of
the company and based in London, is responsible
for successfully executing the company's overall plans and for all its operating groups. He moved
to Europe in 2001, and headed the implementation of Xenon at E.ON
Sales and Trading in Munich. Before founding Sakonnet, he gained
experience of energy trading technology at JPMorgan. In 1997 he was
made head of the technology group for all of Morgan's commodity derivatives
businesses. Eric Min graduated with a B.A. in Economics from The
State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1989.
Alarik Myrin, CTO
Alarik Myrin, a co-founder of Sakonnet, heads the company's business and product strategy unit.
Along with his partners, he previously worked at JPMorgan.
While there, he developed internal oil, natural gas and metal trading
systems and also helped implement several third-party applications.
Before joining Morgan, he worked for Cap Gemini America in their
energy consulting practice. He graduated with a B.A. in English Literature
from Pomona College in 1992.
Peter Loeffler, CFO
Peter Loeffler, based in London, is responsible for consulting, services and finance at Sakonnet. He has an extensive background in the definition and implementation of energy trading and risk management (ETRM) solutions. Prior to joining Sakonnet, he spent the past seven years with Platinion GmbH, the IT consulting subsidiary of The Boston Consulting Group (BCG). As a principal of the firm, he headed the energy practice area and recently served as acting CFO. Prior to that, he held positions as senior consultant within Bain and Company and senior IT application analyst at BCG. He graduated with a diploma in Business Administration from the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich in 1992.
David Renton, VP of Product Delivery
David Renton is responsible for development, quality assurance and
project management associated with Sakonnet's Xenon and XIP core
products. His background at Sakonnet includes both development and program management.
Before joining Sakonnet in 2003, he was a Professional Services
Manager at WinMill Software, an IT consulting firm based in New York,
New York. He graduated in 1998 from Harvard with a B.A., cum laude, in Physics.

Brett Humphreys
Brett Humphreys recently joined Morgan Stanley as Executive Director in the Commodity group. Before that he co-founded the consulting firm Risk Capital, sold in 2006 to Towers Perrin. At both firms he led their quantitative modeling and credit risk practices. He worked previously in the credit risk and commodity fields at Bankers Trust, PricewaterhouseCoopers and JPMorgan.
David Jones
David Jones is head of Global Oil at Fortis Energy Marketing & Trading, based in Houston, TX.
The company was Cinergy Marketing and Trading before being acquired in 2006 by the Fortis
Group (www.fortis.com). David Jones was previously head of energy trading at AIG Financial
in Greenwich, CT, and before that head of energy trading at Statoil US.
Marc Keller
Marc Keller is Managing Director of Atlantic Trust,
a New York-based private wealth management
firm. Previously he served as President and Chief Investment Officer
of Whitehall Asset Management. Before joining Whitehall, he founded
Delphi Asset Management.
